Colle del Lago dei Signori | 2111 METER | Col de la Boaria Passo Tanarello
The Colle del Lago dei Signori Alpine pass is part of the Ligurian border ridge road (High Salt Road), which lies in the border area between France and Italy. The Colle dei Signori marks the border crossing between France in the northeast and Italy in the southwest. The route is a high-altitude trail that is gravelly, sandy and partly equipped with small rock steps. However, due to weather conditions, the condition of the route can change constantly.
The route is subject to tolls, so on the other hand, every effort is made to keep the passage in the best possible condition. Information on tolls, road conditions and the days of the week on which motorised vehicles are permitted can be found here ...
The Colle dei Signori Alpine pass is located in the south-eastern part of the ‘Ligurian border ridge road’, not far from the toll station. To the west is the Col de la Boaria and to the east the Passo Tanarello.
Tip: Just below, clearly visible from the top of the pass, is the Rifugio Don Barbera. The rifugio is open throughout the summer months and offers excellent regional cuisine.
