Col de l'Espaul | 1748 METER | Col de Valberg Col de Valberg
The Col de l'Espaul Alpine pass, at an altitude of 1,748 metres, is little known and therefore not very busy. It branches off from the Col de Valberg, at an altitude of 1,672 metres, in an easterly direction and climbs another 100 metres over a distance of 5 kilometres to a car park.
From here, a gravel track continues down to Beuil. Beuil is located on the south-eastern ramp of the Col de Valberg, halfway to the picturesque, well-known village of Roubion.
This makes the route over the Col de l'Espaul an alternative to the Col de Valberg ramp. However, the gravel road is now closed to motorised vehicles. It is therefore also listed here as a paved cul-de-sac. The length of the route refers to the ascent and descent.
