Route de la Roche d’Auris | 1500 METER |
The Route de la Roche d'Auris is not a real Alpine pass, but rather a high road in the Oisans region, above the valley through which the Romanche River flows. It begins in the east in the small village of Le-Freney-d'Oisans, unfortunately without signposting, near the petrol station. For orientation, head towards Auris d'Oisans.
After several hairpin bends, you quickly reach the high road. From here, a fascinating road begins, narrow, with only a low wall to the valley and a permanent, picturesque view into the distance.
There is no ramp in the west. Here, the high road joins or begins at the ramp to Alpe d'Huez. Therefore, the Alpine passes Alpe d'Huez and Pas de la Confession can be directly connected to a motorcycle tour via the Route de la Roche d'Auris.
A motorcycle tour across several Alpine passes can be ideally planned with the Alpen Passes Atlas, shared with friends, created as a roadmap with pictures and information, and finally downloaded with GPS data.
A day trip with these and 7 other Alpine passes in the region can be found here ...
