The Gurnigel is a mountain road open all year round that connects the Swiss municipalities of Dürrbach and Sangernboden. Built in the 1920s, the pass has an altitude of 1608 metres and a maximum incline of 12.3%. The Gurnigel mountain race takes place every year in September. The race track, which is 3,734 metres long, starts in Dürrbach and ends at Gurnigelbad. There are different categories for cars and motorbikes.
