Col du Méraillet | 1605 METER | Beaufort Bourg Saint-Maurice

The pass is often overlooked because it is now located on the road up to Cormet de Roselend.

From the small town of Beaufort (northwest), a paved road leads to Lac de Roselend. At the highest point of the road, directly above the lake, is the Col du Méraillet. From there, the road leads around the lake up towards Cormet de Roselend. Alternatively, you can descend from here to the village of Areches, and from there also ride up the Cormet d'Areches. However, this route is not asphalted. The road to Areches (south) leads over the Col du Pré.
