Cormet de Roselend | 1967 METER | Beaufort Bourg-Saint-Maurice

The Cormet de Roselend is a mountain pass – at an altitude of 1967 metres – in the French Alps, in the Département Savoie. The road, which is paved throughout, connects Beaufort with Bourg-Saint-Maurice in the Isère valley. On the western ramp is the Lac du Roselend, which can be reached via the Col du Méraillet or alternatively via the Col du Pré. Both Alpine passes are on the way to Cormet de Roselend.

The road between the lake and Bourg-Saint-Maurice is much narrower, but is not a problem for a normally skilled motorcyclist.

The summit of Cormet de Roselend is located on a very beautiful, elongated high valley. When the weather is nice, there are some stalls here that offer a selection of local dishes for a break from the tour.

The pass is occasionally crossed by the Tour de France, and is then closed.
