Seebergsattel | 1215 METER | Eisenkappel Zgornje Jezersko

The Seebergsattel connects the Austrian state of Carinthia (Völkermarkt district) with the Slovenian region of Gorenjska (Slovenian: Gorenjska). The Seebergstraße (B82) on the Austrian side, which is insignificant for long-distance traffic, leads through Bad Eisenkappel up to the border crossing at the 1215-metre-high pass summit. On the Slovenian side, the pass road leads from the height of the Seebergsattel down towards Zgornje Jezersko, a beautiful valley with stunning scenery and an enchanting little bathing lake called Planšarsko Jezero. The road then continues towards Ljubljana.

At the lower end of the northern driveway, the road branches off to the Paulitschpass, which leads to the neighbouring Savinja valley on the Slovenian side. Here you will come directly to a place of interest, the Logar Valley with its magnificent waterfall – unfortunately, however, there is a toll to enter the Logar Valley.

These passes and much more interesting information and tips can be seen and heard in the TV report ‘Alpine Marathon’ about Slovenia, Part 1.
