Schanzsattel | 1171 METER | Stanz im Mürztal-Fischbach

The Schanzsattel, also known as Auf der Schanz, is a 1171-metre-high pass in the Fischbacher Alps in Styria. The Schanzsattel connects the Mürztal near Kindberg via Stanz im Mürztal with the town of Fischbach. The L114 country road, known as the Schanzsattelstraße, runs over it. On the Schanzsattel itself, which is no longer the highest point of the road, stands the Gasthof auf der Schanz, also known as the Schanzwirt. The Zentralalpenweg and the Styrian Mariazeller Weg lead over the pass. The highest point of the pass is 1171 metres above sea level.
