Passo di Zambla | 1264 METER | Serina Gorno
The Passo di Zambla, at 1,264 metres, is a small Alpine pass well worth a visit, with lovely bends and little traffic. The eastern approach in particular – leading down into the Val del Riso – features 10 hairpin bends and further bends that guarantee plenty of driving pleasure. Both approaches are well tarmacked and wide. The bends can be taken smoothly and at a good pace.
Tip: The Val del Riso, centred around Gorno – the village at the foot of the eastern approach – was once an important mining region. There are several mine visitor centres to explore here. To the north-west lies the Passo San Marco, which rises to just under 2,000 metres and can easily be combined with the Passo di Zambla on a motorbike tour.
