Passo di Giau | 2233 METER | Cortina d’Ampezzo Selva di Cadore

The Passo di Giau is a 2233-metre-high mountain pass in the Italian province of Belluno. From Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Valle del Boite, it leads southeast of the lower Falzarego into the valley of Buchenstein and to Selva di Cadore. The southern ascent from Selva di Cadore is more scenic than the ascent from the north, as it is more forested. Over a distance of almost 10 kilometres, the road climbs about 920 metres. The average incline is about 9.4% (max. 14%). When weather conditions allow, the pass road is also open in winter.
