Oberer Hauenstein | 734 METER | Balsthal Waldenburg
The main road 12 from Bern and Solothurn to Basel crosses the pass and connects the southern foot of the Jura with the Ergolz Valley. Until the A1 motorway was opened, it was the most important road between Basel and Solothurn.
