Obdacher Sattel | 955 METER | Obdach Reichenfels

The Obdacher Sattel is a mountain pass between Carinthia and Styria. It is located between the Packalpe and the Seetal Alps at 955 metres and connects the Lavanttal with the Aichfeld. The Obdacher Straße and the Lavanttalbahn run over the Obdacher Sattel from Reichenfels in Carinthia to Obdach in Styria. The B 78 over the Obdacher Sattel was completely redeveloped in 2005 and the cross-section was widened a little. Between Obdach and the Obdacher Sattel, a lay-by for lorries and buses was built. In addition to the Neumarkter Sattel, the Sattel is the main traffic point between Carinthia and the towns of Knittelfeld, Judenburg, Leoben and Bruck an der Mur.
