Feistritzsattel | 1298 METER | Trattenbach Feistritzwald

The Feistritzsattel is a mountain pass at an altitude of 1298 metres that connects the Lower Austrian Bucklige Welt with Styria. The saddle is located between the Wechsel (1,743 m) and the Stuhleck (1,784 m). The road over the Feistritzsattel was one of the most important transport links from Lower Austria to Styria, along with the Semmering, especially in the past. The Feistritzsattel is the starting point for numerous hiking opportunities in the Wechsel area and on the nearby Sonnwendstein and its neighbouring hills.
