Colle Santa Lucia | 1453 METER | Saviner di Laste Selva di Cadore
Colle Santa Lucia is not an Alpine pass, despite its name. Colle Sant Lucia is an Italian municipality with fewer than 400 inhabitants in the Dolomites, between the Passo di Giau (north-east), the Passo di Falzarego (north) and the Passo di Fedaia (west). Therefore, there is no typical pass sign.
The vast majority of the municipality are Ladins and still speak the old original language of the region.
As there are often enquiries or complaints about the absence of this Alpine pass, we have decided to include and explain the Alpine pass that is not one.
The picture shows a view to the south, towards Lago di Alleghe, just before the municipality of Colle Santa Lucia, on the western side.
