Col de la Couillole | 1678 METER | Beuil St. Sauveur sur Tinée

The Col de la Couillole is a mountain pass in the Alpes-Maritimes with an altitude of 1678 metres. It connects the municipalities of Beuil and Saint-Sauveur sur Tinée. The road, which is mostly asphalted, is passable all year round. The route is winding, but not particularly demanding to drive. The landscape is very attractive – you can tell that Nice and the Mediterranean Sea are only about 90 kilometres away.
Below the pass, in a southerly direction, lies the small medieval village of Roubion – an interesting stop, as the entire village is built directly onto steep rocks.
