Col Bertrand | 1960 METER | Colle Melosa Colla de Sanson

The alpine pass Col Bertrand is part of the Ligurische Grenzkammstraße (L'Alta Via Del Sale). It is located exactly in the middle between the Colla Melosa and the Colle de Sanson. The turnoff to the actual pass, which is about 5 metres higher, is barely recognisable. Coming from Colle Melosa, there is a dirt road directly after the stone sign. This is the driveway to Col Bertrand, one of the 6 alpine passes between Molini di Triora (start of the L'alta Via Del Sale) and Passo Tanarello.
The road is gravelled throughout, with some sections with loose stones, but it is relatively flat and therefore easy to drive. From Molini di Triora over the Passo Tanarello and further down towards Monesi di Triora is toll-free. If you continue from the Passo Tanarello towards Colle di Tende, you have to pay a toll.
