Between the Carnic Alps and the Gailtal Alps at the beginning of the Gailtal valley lies the small village of Kötschach-Mauthen with a population of around 3,500. Right on the main road and impossible to miss is a small, old rose-coloured hotel, our Gailtaler Hof. In summer, the Gailtaler Hof is a popular holiday destination and a welcome stop for a coffee break. Whether you ride a Harley-Davidson, BMW, Yamaha, KTM, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi or Goldwing, the diverse range of activities on offer at the Gailtaler Hof will make bikers' hearts beat faster. However, the Gailtaler Hof is not only popular with regular guests who ride motorcycles, convertibles and classic cars; families, couples and singles also enjoy the comprehensive summer programme offered by the hotel and the attractive Gailtal region. In winter, our guests enjoy the uncrowded slopes of the local family ski area ‘Vorhegg’ with ski school, the wellness oasis ‘aquarena’ and the cosy atmosphere of the village. Not to forget the ‘Ski-hupfn’: a 4- or 7-day skiing experience with a new ski area every day in neighbouring Carinthia and East Tyrol – including ski pass, transfer and personal ski guide!
