Preiner Gscheid | 1070 METER | Reichenau an der Rax Kapellen

Preiner Gscheid is a mountain pass with an altitude of 1070 metres and runs parallel to the Semmering Pass. It crosses the wooded ridge south of the Rax, which runs southwards over the Tratenkogel to the Semmering Pass to the south-east. Preiner Gscheid also crosses the border between the federal states of Lower Austria and Styria. The pass road connects the towns of Reichenau an der Rax and Kapellen on the Styrian side and has a maximum gradient of 11%.
