Passo di Passabocche | 1297 METER | Pisogne Fraine
The Passo di Passabocche, at 1,297 metres, is a little-known Alpine pass offering stunning scenery – particularly when viewed from the descent towards or from Pisogne. There are frequent beautiful views of Lake Iseo. This route also features 34 tight bends and hairpin bends. The road is very narrow in some sections, and the tarmac is crumbling. However, this Alpine pass is mainly used by locals, so there is usually little traffic.
The stretch leading to and from Fraine, which is also part of the route to the better-known Colle San Zeno, is, by contrast, less spectacular. Whilst the road is not as winding, it is still narrow and in poor condition. Only the section it shares with the Colle San Zeno route is wider and in better condition.
