Passo di Campogrosso | 1456 METER | Merendaore Merendaore

The Passo di Campogrosso, at 1,456 metres, was passable all the way through until a few years ago. Following massive rockfalls and landslides, the northern side is now permanently closed and is unlikely to be repaired. This is because an interesting suspension bridge for pedestrians has since been built at the point where the road was completely destroyed.
Nevertheless, the drive up to the Rifugio die Campogrosso is well worth it, as the road is extremely winding.
