Passo della Borcola | 1207 METER | Terragnolo Posina

The Passo della Borcola (1,207 m) is a very scenic pass in the Italian Pre-Alps. It links the Val Terragnolo in Trentino (Province of Trento) with the Val Posina in Veneto (Province of Vicenza). The stretch on the southern side, which is already part of Veneto, is winding, with hairpin bends in places, and narrow.

Interesting fact: shortly after the village of Serrada (coming from the north), on a hilltop, there is a signpost for the Passo Borcola. This is confusing, as the road climbs up to that point and then descends for several kilometres. However, the actual Alpine pass does not begin until a few kilometres later, at the village of Terragnolo.
At the officially marked summit stands the distinctive little mountain chapel of the Alpini, surrounded by gentle meadows against the backdrop of the mighty Pasubio massif.
