Passo del Tonale | 1884 METER | Ponte di Legno Male

The Tonale Pass is an 1884-metre-high Alpine pass in Italy, about halfway as the crow flies between Trento and the Bernina Range. The pass is part of a west-east connection. The pass separates the Lombard Valcamonica in the west from the Val di Sole, a side valley of the Nonstal, in the east in the Trentino. These two valleys form the Tonaleline, the western part of the periadriatic suture, an active geological fault line that continues east to Friuli and Slovenia. On the pass is an Italian war memorial, a church and the Albergo della Vittoria.
