Passo Buole | 1460 METER | Albaredo Albaredo
The Passo Buole, at 1,450 metres, is an Alpine pass steeped in history, which can now only be accessed by road from the north. Here, too, the final few metres must be covered by bike or on foot. An extremely winding and very narrow, but tarmac-surfaced, road leads up to the Parco della Pace. There is a car park there, and that is where the road ends. From here on, there is only a footpath.
The Parco della Pace is an impressive open-air site with numerous information boards commemorating the terrible battles in Trentino, particularly here around Monte Zugna. It is also part of the Peace Trail, the ‘Sentiero della Pace’, which traces the entire front line from the passes of the Tonale valley to the Marmolada.
What’s more, up here you’re treated to a fantastic panoramic view, which is why it’s well worth the trip.
