Hagenegg | 1414 METER | Schwyz Sattel
The Hagenegg is now a cul-de-sac for motorised vehicles. The pass summit can now only be reached via the western ramp. Over a distance of 6.8 km, the route climbs 900 metres in altitude. This makes the ramp as steep as 18 per cent in some sections.
Further restrictions for motorised vehicles: The western ramp may now only be used by local residents and guests of the Hagenegg mountain inn.
For this reason, the Alpine pass is listed as “closed” in our route planner.
For overnight guests: At the top of the pass, there is a pilgrims’ chapel (Hagenegg is already part of the Way of St James) and a mountain inn offering magnificent views.
