Giogo di Toirano | 801 METER | Toirano Bardineto

The Giogo di Toirano is an Alpine pass, or rather a pre-Alpine pass with two ‘faces’. The southern side from Toirano is very Mediterranean, sparsely wooded and varied with lots of bends. The northern side, on the other hand, leads relatively straight to the village of Bardineto – but through a beautiful landscape with extensive beech forests. The asphalt is fine throughout. Near the top of the pass, there is a nice car park and picnic area with information boards explaining the special landscape. Tip: In Bardineto, turn west towards Colle di Scravaion and then continue to Colle di Balestrino. This makes for a beautiful, but not too long, round trip.
