Furkajoch | 1761 METER | Batschuns Damüls
The Furkajoch is an Alpine pass in the Vorarlberg Alps with a pass height of 1,761 metres. It has a maximum gradient of up to 14%. It is located in Austria (federal state of Vorarlberg) and connects the Bregenzer Ach valley (Bregenzerwald) near Damüls with the Frutz valley (Laternsertal) near Laterns. The Furkajoch is a pass with historical but purely local significance. The pass road was correspondingly simple, and until recently was little more than a natural path. Only a few years ago, a modern, narrow road was built over the Furkajoch, which is popular with motorcyclists. The route is closed in winter.
This Alpine pass can be easily combined with the Faschina Pass and the Hochtannberg Pass on a motorbike tour.
