Colle Margherina | 2420 METER | Colle Bandia Colle Cologna

Colle Margherina is part of the Maira-Stura border ridge road, the MSKS. It is the third pass when driving from the southeast onto the border ridge road. The mountain road is gravelled throughout. The passes before that are Colle Bandia and Colle Valcavera.

The Diaira-Stur border ridge road is part of the long line of defence between Italy and France that was built and expanded during the First World War. The most famous section is probably the Ligurian border ridge road, which begins in the southeast, near the Ligurian coast.
