Colle Lazzarà | 1596 METER | Chiotto Superiori Pramollo
The pass with the many different names such as Colle Las Arà or Colle Laz Ara has just as many faces regarding the route. Coming from the south, you can ride on a paved road to Ruata. After that, the road winds in gravel switchbacks to the Alpine pass. On the north side, the route and surface are much more difficult and only recommended for experienced riders.
On the pastures of the south side, there are still systematically laid furrows to be seen in large alpine areas. They date from the Franco-Italian war at the beginning of the 18th century. In preparation for the siege of Turin, French troops built their entrenchments here.
