Colle Lauson | 2490 METER |

Colle Lauson is part of the Assietta-Grenzkammstraße, which begins in the east at Colle dell'Assietta. The entire route leads over a section of the Alpine ridge on the border between France and Italy, on the Italian side. The entire route is gravelled, with some sand and a little scree. There are hardly any gradients and the curves are sweeping, so that even beginners in off-roading can drive without major challenges. Please check the current restrictions, as the route is not open throughout, there are parking restrictions and some speed limits must be observed. Rangers patrol the area regularly.
The Colle Lauson, like the other Alpine passes on the Assietta border ridge road, is not really recognisable as an Alpine pass. So you should watch the road, as many Alpine pass signs stand inconspicuously at the side of the road.
