The eastern route through the pine forest and numerous switchbacks to the mountain village of Arbaz, where you should definitely take a short break to enjoy the beautiful alpine pastures and the corresponding view. The top of the pass is unassuming and is located in the forest. There is a picnic area in a clearing, which invites you to take a break before tackling the impressive and well-built western ramp, which offers magnificent views of the Aosta Valley and Mont Blanc.
