Colle di Sampeyre | 2284 METER | Sampeyre Ponte Mármora

The Colle di Sampeyre is a 2284-metre-high Alpine pass in the province of Cuneo in the Italian region of Piemont. The pass road, which is paved throughout and has just under two lanes in each direction, leads from Sampeyre in the Valle Varaita to the pass summit, mostly through forest and with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. A three-kilometre-long mountain road leads to the southern ramp, where you can either descend to Stroppo in the Valle Maira or continue via Elva and a side valley to the Maira. At the top of the pass, the so-called Varaita-Maira-Kammstraße, a gravel road, crosses.
