Colle delle Ciabra | 1723 METER | Colle di Melle Coletto di Valmala

The gravel alpine pass Colle della Ciabra is part of the Varaita-Maira-Kammstraße VMKS, or Strada dei Cannoni. It is located relatively early on, in the east of the approximately 45-kilometre-long off-road track. This former military road leads over a total of 8 alpine passes up to more than 2300 metres in altitude. It ends at Colle della Bicocca, where it turns into a footpath. In the western part is Colle di Sampeyre, a paved alpine pass that can be reached from both the Varaita and Maira valleys.
