Colle Costa Piana | 2313 METER | Usseaux Sestriére

The Colle Costa Piana is also one of several Alpine passes on the Assietta border ridge road. The route, starting in the east from the Colle dell'Assietta, is gravelled throughout. The route ends in the west with the descent from Colle Basset towards Sestriere. The Alpine passes line up along a mountain road and are sometimes barely recognisable as Alpine passes. Only signposts along the way draw attention to the Alpine pass.

The route, which is 41 kilometres long in total, is off-road throughout, but it is also manageable for less experienced drivers – if the weather conditions are good.
