Colle Bandia | 2408 METER | Colle Valcavera Colle Bandia

The Colle Bandia is part of the Maira-Stura-Kammstraße, a gravel mountain road on the border between Italy and France. The Kammstraße is conceptually the extension of the LGKS, the Ligurian Border Ridge Road, in a northwesterly direction.
Coming from the south, the ascent is via the town of Demonte; coming from the west, it is via the town of Caraglio. On the way to Colle Bandia, there is still Colle Valcavera. This section of the border ridge road is generally considered to be easy to drive on. In the further course, some more difficult passages are included.
Note: With border ridge roads, you should inquire about their condition and whether they are open to traffic from season to season. Part of the route is closed on weekends and holidays during the summer months.
