Col du Granier | 1134 METER | Chambéry Saint-Pierre-d'Entremont
The Col du Granier is located on the route from Chambéry in the north to Grenoble in the southwest, through the Chartreuse massif – a pre-Alpine limestone mountain range. It is part of a series of small Alpine passes that follow one another, such as the Pas de la Fosse or the Col du Cucheron. The drive through the Chartreuse should be seen in the context of the beautiful landscape.
The Alpine passes are not particularly challenging and can be crossed with any type of vehicle. The views to the left and right of the road through the Chartreuse, on the other hand, are breathtakingly beautiful at times. Especially the view of Mont Granier.
