The Col d Fréjus is located in the extension of the Pas du Roc to the west, which can be reached via the Valfrejus ski resort. The route over the high plateau from the Pas du Roc can only be described as an unpaved road.
A 12,870-metre-long road tunnel runs through the entire high plateau from Bardonecchia to Modane and Fourneaux.
