Col du Chasseral | 1502 METER | Saint Imier Nods
This alpine pass in the Swiss canton of Bern connects the villages of Saint-Imier and Nods. Its crest lies at 1502 metres of altitude. From there, one can drive up a side road to the Chasseral. The asphalt road ends at a car park and restaurant (see picture). This area is already at an altitude of 1607 metres. The ascent is worthwhile, as the view over the Bernese Jura is magnificent when the weather is fine.
Meanwhile, this side road can also be driven on toll-free.
