The Col de l'Ablé is one of two passes in quick succession. The second pass on the route is the slightly lower Col de l'Orme. The Col de l'Ablé is located in the southern French Alps, in the Maritime Alps, not far from the Col de Turini. The lower part towards Luceram is interesting to drive on, as it offers numerous bends.
