Col de la Ramaz | 1559 METER | Mieussy Les Gets
The Col de la Ramaz is one of the many small French passes south of Lake Geneva, in the Geneva – Thonon – Morzine – Cluses quadrilateral. Starting from Mieussy in the southwest, the 22-kilometre pass road first crosses the Col de la Ramaz and then the lower Col de la Savolière back into the valley that connects Cluses with Morzine. However, the pass cannot be used as a shortcut on this route – a direct road through the valley saves 11 km and over 600 metres of elevation. The Col de la Ramaz can be easily combined with the Col de la Colombiere, whose northern ramp starts from nearby Cluses.
