Col de Félines | 930 METER | Entrevaux Brianconnet
First off: the picture shows the castle of the picturesque starting point Entrevaux, which lies about 480 metres above sea level – to give you an idea of the height of the pass. The pass itself is only a narrow road, more of a hill than a pass, lined with meadows on the left and right.
The Col de Félines pass is located, or rather begins, directly opposite. The pass is more interesting to drive on the north side than on the south side. There are some curves here, whereas the south side slopes down late and then gently, slowly and only slightly.
On the south side, about 6 kilometres from the pass summit, is another pass, the Col du Buis, on the way to Brianconnet.
The village of Entrevaux, on the other hand, is worth the journey there. It was named one of the most beautiful villages in France in 2023. The famous fortress architect and general Vauban also worked here. He had the village better fortified, built towers and connected the citadel to the village.
