Benkerjoch | 674 METER | Oberhof Küttigen
The Benken Pass, now the Benkerjoch, was first mentioned in the 15th century. Until 1801, the alpine pass marked the border between the Austrian part of the Habsburg Empire and the Swiss Confederation. Today, the alpine pass has lost some of its significance and is a simple, short alpine pass between the towns of Oberhof and Küttigen.
