Les Martinaux: 52 hairpin bends over 10 kilometres – Switzerland's most spectacular winding road.
Near the village of Saint Maurice, close to Martigny, at an altitude of almost 1,700 metres above the Rhône Valley, lies the Les Martinaux ski resort. A dead-end road leads there. It is not an Alpine pass, as you drive up and down the same road. If you love hairpin bends and curves, this is a highlight in Switzerland.
The road is narrow, steep and winding, with 52 hairpin bends in one direction. What's more, the last two kilometres are gravel. But you'll be rewarded with magnificent views and endless driving pleasure. Lots of information and a video, brand new here on ‘Alpen-Marathon’. Click here for Les Martinaux ...
