Morteratsch, Alm-Schau-Käserei, Biergarten, Restaurant, Bahnstation...

Morteratsch is located below the Bernina Pass on the Swiss side. On the one hand, there is a railway station of the famous Bernina Railway here, and on the other hand, a show dairy has been established here for quite some time. 
 

It is a worthwhile place to take a break. Several types of cheese are produced here, which you can of course also order in the beer garden. The beer garden and the show dairy are situated in a very idyllic location in a pine forest, surrounded by 3000-metre peaks of the Alps. In the background, the Bernina Express is passing by.

The Bernina Express is also a sensation. You have to have travelled on it at least once. Best of all in a panorama carriage. Perhaps from the Bernina Pass down to Morteratsch and back up again. There are plenty of parking spaces at the Bernina Pass for this.
