Grimsel Pass, 2,165 metres: the ‘small’ but spectacular neighbour of the Furka Pass.
On its eastern side, the Grimsel Pass shares the ascent to the village of Gletsch with the Furka Pass – at least the first 11 kilometres of the total 17 kilometres to the pass summit at Totensee.
From Gletsch, seven tight hairpin bends lead up to the high plateau, to the border between the cantons of Valais and Bern.
The route promises plenty of driving pleasure and beautiful views, for example of the Hotel Belvédère and the Rhône Glacier.
