Col du Sapey – Alpine pass with extreme cornering fun. New pictures and information.

The Col du Sapey is often regarded as an ‘easier to ride’ copy of the Col du Chaussy – when the Col du Chaussy is approached via the famous 18 hairpin bends of the Lacets de Montvernier (south ramp).

However, the Col du Sapey has far more bends and hairpin turns to offer, and this on both ramps.

The Col du Sapey is located just a few kilometres east of the Col du Chaussy, also in the Maurienne Valley. This means that, for lovers of bends, both Alpine passes can be combined very well.
